What is a certificate of analysis?

The analytical record for one specific batch of material, produced at one time and tested on one date. It says nothing about any other batch, which is why the batch number on the certificate has to match the batch number on your vial.

What does HPLC tell you, and what does it not?

HPLC establishes purity by separating the compound from everything else in the vial and measuring the proportion of each. It does not identify anything. A chromatogram can show a beautifully pure sample of entirely the wrong compound and look flawless, which is why identity by mass spectrometry has to sit alongside it.

Are certificates published before purchase?

Yes. Every batch certificate is live at a permanent URL before the batch is listed for sale, and that URL is printed on the vial label. Nothing is available on request only.

Who does the testing?

Accepted Answer

An independent third-party analytical laboratory, named on every certificate along with the date of analysis. We do not test our own material.

What purity does MYOGENX guarantee?

Every peptide batch is tested and the measured figure is published. Our minimum working figure is 99%, and the actual figure for the batch you are buying is on its certificate. We publish the number that was measured, not a number from a marketing page.

How should lyophilised peptides be stored?

At -20°C or colder, in a dry, dark, desiccated environment, with the seal intact. Always let a sealed vial reach room temperature before opening it, or cold glass will condense atmospheric moisture into material that needs to stay dry.

How long does reconstituted material last?

Accepted Answer

Typically two to four weeks refrigerated at 2°C to 8°C. Reconstituted with bacteriostatic water, which contains 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a preservative, around 28 days refrigerated is the common working figure.

What degrades stored peptides fastest?

Repeated freeze-thaw cycles, by a distance. The fix is to aliquot into single-use portions at first reconstitution and freeze those, so the stock is never cycled repeatedly.

Do you ship outside the UK?

We ship within the United Kingdom. Because stock is held and released in Hertfordshire, nothing sits in customs. International supply is handled case by case through a laboratory account.

Can I return research materials?

No, once dispatched. We can no longer document how a returned vial was stored, and re-selling material with a hole in its chain of custody would make our published certificate a lie. If something is wrong with what arrived, we replace or refund it in full.

No. We cannot provide guidance relating to human consumption, including dosage, protocols or administration, under any circumstances. This applies to every enquiry, however it is phrased. We are a research supplier and that is the boundary of what we sell.

Anything about identity, purity, the analytical record, handling, storage, stability, solvents and documentation. Those are the questions a research supplier exists to answer, and we answer them in detail.

Are these products legal to buy in the UK?

They are supplied for laboratory research use only, and on that basis. The purchaser is responsible for complying with all laws and regulations applicable to them, including any restricting possession, import or use in their jurisdiction. If you are unsure, take your own advice before ordering.

Is the V1 pen an injection pen?

No. The V1 is supplied as laboratory handling equipment, a precision instrument for measuring and dispensing research materials in a laboratory setting. It is not supplied for human or veterinary use.
