Laboratory research use only

All products listed on this website are intended for laboratory research use only. They are not for human or veterinary consumption, administration, or use in any form.

This is not a formality and it is not boilerplate. It describes what these materials are and the only basis on which we supply them.

No regulatory approval

The products supplied by MYOGENX have not been evaluated or approved by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), or any other regulatory authority for human use.

No product listed on this website is a licensed medicine. None has been assessed for safety or efficacy in humans by any regulator. Nothing on this website should be read as suggesting otherwise.

We will not advise on administration

We cannot provide guidance relating to human consumption, including dosage, protocols or administration, under any circumstances. MYOGENX operates strictly as a research supplier.

This applies without exception, to every enquiry, from every customer, however it is phrased. It is not an oversight in our documentation and it is not something our support team can be persuaded around.

Questions we will answer concern the identity, purity, handling, storage and analytical record of the materials we supply. Questions about what to do with them in a human being are outside what we sell and outside what we will discuss.

Your responsibilities as purchaser

The purchaser is responsible for complying with all applicable laws and regulations, and for the safe handling, storage and disposal of all materials supplied.

  • You are 18 or over.
  • You are acquiring these materials for legitimate laboratory research.
  • You are qualified and equipped to handle, store and dispose of research chemicals safely.
  • You will not administer these materials to any human or animal.
  • You will comply with all laws and regulations applicable to you, including any that restrict the possession, import or use of these materials in your jurisdiction.
  • You accept responsibility for any consequence arising from use outside a legitimate research setting.

Orders we will refuse

We decline orders where the stated or apparent purpose falls outside laboratory research, and we decline orders where we are asked for administration guidance as a condition of purchase.

We would rather lose an order than supply material to someone who has told us they intend to misuse it. This is not a courtesy to ourselves. It is the basis on which the whole catalogue is lawfully supplied.
