How do you calculate peptide concentration?

Divide the mass of peptide in the vial by the volume of solvent added. A 10mg vial reconstituted with 2ml of bacteriostatic water gives 5mg per ml.

Concentration is mass divided by volume. Add 2ml of solvent to a 10mg vial and you have a 5mg per ml solution. That is the whole calculation, and this does it for you.

The volume you choose is a laboratory decision about the working range of your equipment and the precision you need. More dilute makes small volumes easier to measure accurately. More concentrated makes the vial last longer.
